Grace is a native of Iowa where she was part of two State Championship volleyball teams at Dike-New Hartford High School. Her senior year she was the only setter in Iowa named to the Elite All-State Volleyball Team. After high school Grace went on to play volleyball at Indian Hills Community College. While at IHCC, Grace twice earned First Team All-Conference and First Team All-Region honors and also set school records for season and career assists.
Grace began coaching volleyball once her playing career ended. Her first coaching stop was at Dike-New Hartford Jr. High/High School. She was the Head 7th grade coach for two years. During that same time, Grace was also the Head Junior Varsity and Assistant Varsity coach at Dike-New Hartford High School.
From Dike-New Hartford, Grace went on to be the Assistant Coach at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) and then took the same position at NCAA DII Upper Iowa University.
Grace has been involved in the Kansas City area club volleyball scene for the last 10 years. She became the Assistant Director of Southwind Volleyball in 2017. Grace's 12-1 team was MLK 2020 Gold Bracket Champions.
Grace has degrees in Biology and Dietetics from the University of Northern Iowa and Iowa State University, respectively. She is married to Johnson County Community College’s National Champion Women’s Basketball coach Ben Conrad. They have three children, Colin (16), Catelynn (14), and Isabella (12).
